Homeschool Intensive- Glass Casting

Glass casting is the process of making solid objects in glass from a refractory mold. The refractory mold will be formed from a wax model created by the student. In this course, we will explore kiln casting, where refractory molds are filled with cold glass pieces called cullet and the glass is melted into the mold in a kiln. Sketchbooks, glass, and all materials are included. All protective gear will be provided except for a respirator, which must be fit to each individual child. Please bring a snack and a water bottle.
